Graham McGeagh

One of South Australia’s most respected business leaders, Graham McGeagh, enjoys a stellar
reputation as a corporate strategist and change agent.
With a career spanning more than two decades - and experience gained across a broad industry
base - Graham is an established expert in the creation and application of innovative business
management plans.
His skills in corporate analysis and the formulation and delivery of strategies designed to reshape and refocus operations
have placed him in leadership roles with two of South Australia's most reputable law firms.
Highly-regarded for his accomplishments in achieving strong commercial results for both Finlaysons and previously
Duncan Basheer Hannon, Graham's core successes have included:
• improving profitability;
• establishing business-wide key performance indicators;
• lowering operating costs; and
• delivering sustainable growth plans.
Graham was appointed to his first role as a business leader in his mid-30s - heading Platinum Creative, a
communications company servicing a corporate and government client base. He later guided PFA Chartered Accountants
to success, firmly establishing the partnership as a key player in South Australia's accounting sector.
The holder of a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts, he is only the second non-lawyer to lead
Finlaysons in its 160-year history.
In addition to Graham's role with the firm, he offers consulting and executive coaching services to board Chairs, Chief
Executive Officers, senior executives, and works as part of a group of senior executives that regularly mentors small
business operators.
Graham's work in this area includes review and development of performance models, provision of corporate governance
advice, strategic review and business development, and board reviews. He has provided advice and support to the notfor-
profit, professional services, entertainment and manufacturing sectors, as well as to business leaders operating in the
SME and recruitment markets.
Noted for his decisive and contemporary leadership style, Graham particularly enjoys working with organisations to
understand their markets, review and refocus their businesses, and develop and enhance sustainable competitive
advantages designed to deliver solid, ongoing profitability.
He is an independent non-executive director of Ord River Resources, a Sydney- based publicly-listed (ASX) minerals
exploration and development company with copper projects in Western Australia and Northern Territory, a gold project in
New South Wales, and a bauxite project in Laos. Ord River Resources also operates joint ventures with a number of
State-owned and private entities in China.
Graham's commitment to the wider community extends to his role as director of not- for-profit organisation Townsend
House (CanDo4Kids) and passion for working with newly-formed businesses to build success in core markets.
